The Oatman Fourth of July Sidewalk Egg Fry is an annual event in Oatman, Arizona, where contestants use the sun's heat to cook eggs on the sidewalk: When: The 2024 event will be held on Thursday, July 4, with registration beginning at noon and the competition starting at 1 PM. Where: The event takes place on the sidewalk in downtown Oatman. How it works: Contestants have 15 minutes to cook their eggs using only the sun's power. They can't use fire or electricity, and they can't block the sidewalk to the Candy Shoppe.
